Project Still in Progress

Project Summary
The downstairs bath was a complete rip out. We found black mold due to the pipes bursting on the outside wall a few years ago from the previous owners. The shower stall that was there was peeling off the wall. We increased the size of the bathromm by going into the adjoining closet which actually it turned out to be the original footprint of the pantry. We insulated the outside walls and put in everything new. This was also the first time I did plaster work and the first time my husband and I did any kind of plumbing or electrical.

Progress

Well we bought the new toilet and the shelf and cabinet came in the other day. Hopefully the new toilet will be installed this weekend and maybe the woodwork for the door and window.

Fully working toilet

We now have a fully working toilet. We decided to spend a few more dollars and got the toilet in a box that had an assisted flush and it works great!!! It works as good as a high gallon toilet and we are saving water.

Budget & Materials

Budget:

$1800

Materials:

  • We are not quite done yet. We will be installing a "tin" drop ceiling.
