Project Summary

We bought our home in 2003 and we knew it needed some exterior TLC. I loved all the exterior details this house had to offer, and I knew I had to let those beautiful details show through! My husband belt sanded the whole house down to the original wood. What a huge project that was. But we knew it was the only proper way to do it. During this time, we noticed the exterior brick foundation needed repointing. So, we repointed the whole foundation and repainted. It took almost 2 years to finish this project (New England weather) but it was worth all the time. We saved a huge bundle doing it ourselves. Besides, we certainly didnt need to join a gym with all the hard work we did!
