Project Summary

These are before and after shots of unpacking my kitchen after our cross-country move. The new kitchen has a nook with a south-facing window that looks out on the small front yard and the sidewalk beyond.

I set up the nook as a small seating area thinking that while I cook, someone can sit and keep me company. It also created a small display area for some ceramic odds and ends.

The window treatment was created with materials I had from our previous home, re-purposed for the new space. The longer sheer, cotton bottom layer provides some privacy while still letting in plenty of light.
