Project Budget $5000.00

Project Summary

We moved from our starter, in to our "grown up" home July 2011 and the kitchen desperately needed a makeover. We tore up the floor and removed the cabinets and lighting and started over. We put in new ceramic tile for the floor and made our own granite countertops and bull-nosed them ourselves. Then installed new cabinets and installed a gas range and had propane service installed. We also cut a pass-through in one of the kitchen walls to allow in more natural light from the dining room window. Some rewiring in the attic and we had the drop-down pendant lighting my wife had always wanted. It took a lot of work, money and effort but nothing beats the feeling of looking around and knowing you did it all yourself and it looks just the way you want it.
