Tack strips around this?

I have a closet plate guide attached to the floor. Soon I will have carpeting installed around this plate. Should I nail down tack strips around this plate? Or would you expect them to apply glue instead?

The wood is 1/2" tall. They will be installing 1/2" carpet padding under the carpet.

Is that plate at the sides of the closet or in the middle?

On by fold doors, which have brackets on the sides, they typ just but up to each side and cut out a section around the clip.

If that is in the middle, the plate will need to be secured to the floor with screws and then a section can be cut out of the pad and carpet without tack strips around it.

Pad around the wood, carpet over the wood, metal screwed through the carpet into the wood. That's how I have always seen them done.

Tack strip al the way around a 1/2" from the wood block. The carpet is stretched over the tack and trimmed to fit and tucked against the pad for a clean look. Tack strip holds it in place, not screws are needed.

The screws in the picture go all the way down into the concrete. This wood plate is in the middle of where the closet doors will slide left and right.

When I painted new residential construction in fla with most house on concrete slabs, a block of wood [usually 1x2] was attached to the concrete prior to carpet. I don't remember them using a tack strip around it but rather just cut a hole in the pad and carpet, slipping it over the wood.

If the carpet is going both in and out of the closet I believe what marksr said is the typical install process. This would be true be it slab or wood floor.
