MS Service Packs
Hi,
If I am installing Service Pack 3, do I have to first install SP 1, then SP 2, then SP 3 or does SP 3 include the revisions from SP's 1 & 2?
Thanks,
Bob

No. SP3 contains all of the previous SPs plus all of MS' "final" updates, bug fixes, and security fixes for XP.
Interesting, though, that even after you install SP3 you'll continue to get update notifications.

Recently installed XP on a new computer. Disk already had SP3 on it. First thing out of the gate, MS wanted to update with 109 updates. Give me a break!!

I redid my machine a month ago with an SP3 disc and do not allow it to update. There is no update/backup bloat in the Windows directory (no blue subfolders), and the machine boots to the desktop in just over 30 seconds. Prior to that it would take 3 minutes.
Many of the updates are security fixes to IE. Since I never launched IE and don't use it I'm not concerned about IE security.
