Old Window - Rot Inside?
Hello,
I have old windows, I'm guessing 50's or 60's? I was cleaning excess moldy caulk, (someone made a mess with the caulk gun) on the inside near the track, and got curious to pull away the track.
The 2 pics attached show the left and right side where I did this. On the right side especially--wood rot.
Now on these windows condensation, sometimes a lot, between the outer storm window and the inner pane is common--hence a little mildew and mold.
But do the pics show something else? --Like leakage, or not flashed right?
Thanks!

Looks normal for a window that old. Its fogging up because the storm windows are caulked up. Air is leaking out the drafty interior window and condensing on the cold storm window.

Can't see the aluminum tracks, or window sashes but I would guess 1970's or early 80's. Older windows usually had a dado in the jamb for a parting stop. If they are original windows, they are as old as the house is.
Looks to me like the trim is newer than the window is. If the trim is original, might even be from early 90s. Hard to tell from just that picture.
