Converting a garage door to a sliding screen door
Hello,
I have a detached garage that has a main entrance from the driveway and a second that opens into the back yard. I would like to remove the backyard door and replace it with a sliding screen door in order to get in and out easier. Also, it could be a nice area to sit in when the bugs get too annoying.
Just looking for ideas on getting started or any suggestions as to whether this sounds like a good idea. I am a novice at this type of project, so I'd like something not too complicated.

Does the door open in or out? If in, a regular screen door would be cheap and simple. If out, they make sliding screens that can be installed on the interior. Not as cheap or simple, but better than completely removing a door.
What about when you get bad weather, or security issues?
Do you mean that the backyard door is also a rollup type door? If so, they make pull down screens that can be installed, but they can get pricey.
