Cold air return help

I have two vents in the floor and one is going to be covered by an island going in. What do I do with the second one?

I would think those are supply ducts. Was there a wall running in between the ducts?

OK makes sense now. You will have to check below and see how it's ducted. Can't just cover them up, the furnace will be starved for return air. Need to relocate return duct.
