    Sony Trinitron Wega (model #: KV-36HS510) intermittanly powering up

    This has been occuring for about 2 weeks now. If the set sits for a couple of days it will work when powered up but that is becoming more infrequent I'm handy with a multi-tester and soldering iron and eager to fix my issue. When the TV doesn't power up the standby light blinks 6 times repeatedly. Any idea of the part I need to replace and where I could get it?

    6 Blinks would indicate low B+ [ main ] voltage. The power regulator IC is not putting out enough juice to run the set. I would start out by replacing it. I don't have the diagrams,but if you post some pics of the insides of the set I may be able to point it out to you. The part # would be printed on the part.

    I've taken photos of the insides of the TV but now can't figure out how to save the images on this forum. What do I need to do to post images?

    I can not tell much from the pictures. If you go online and get the service manual and post screen shots like the ones in my link below. I can easily walk you through it to find the right part to replace.

    The closest service manual I could find was for the KV-36HS500. I'm assuming that this will encompass the 510 model. Please let me know if otherwise. Your screen shots didn't come thru (wern't hotlinked) on your Photobucket link.
