Fixing the finish on my table
Hi Do it yourselfers! My tables finish is peeled in a couple spots, and not to mention the bing ring by my coffee cup.
So heres what im thinking. I can lightly sand that area, stain it to match then spray paint it with Custoleum X2 Clear. I really just need to fix that spot and I cant do the whole thing because of how the table is made with outside rails that are glued in.
Do you think that will work or is there something else you can suggest?

Is this a wood or metal table? Sure'd be helpful to see it. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...rt-images.html

If it's just the finish that is peeling you shouldn't need to use stain. I'm not all that familiar with them but there are methods you can try to remove the water ring. Is the top solid wood or a veneer?
