    Lenex furnace roll out . 90%

    I have cleaned a coil , secdondary coil above fan, checked for blockages in vent lines. I watched for any changes when I was able to get it to complete a cycle and no visual change to flame . any ideas

    Take the cover off the burner compartment of the furnace. Obtain the make and model of the furnace off the rating plate in the burner compartment and post it here.

    Observe the sequence of events that occurs at the furnace when you turn up the thermostat and post that sequence of events in order and in detail.

    The events that follow start up:

    * induction fan starts
    * pilot light fires
    * burners fire
    * cycle will complete if first fire ,but roll out will open when heating cycle is almost satisfied otherwise

    You have done a poor and incomplete job of what is happening.


    What is the model number of the furnace? describe when the furnace fan that circulates the air around the furnace turns on in relation to what happens. What do you observe of the flame rollout and when do you see it?

    If the rollout occurs when the fan comes on, the heat exchanger is bad.
