trane xl80 valve noise

I am getting a constant valve buzzing noise from the Johnson Controls G5308BG-7 gas valve on my Trane model #TDD060A936A0. It started off intermittently and is now steady when the burners are ignited. I took a voltage reading @ the valve and from the transformer and got 25.4(quality meter). Is the voltage to high? If it is would it be the transformer or something else involved with its function. All other furnace function is normal. If the voltage is ok I guess I should replace the valve Thanks Rolynn1

At 24.5 volts, the valve should not have any voltage problem. My guess is the coil on the valve is what's buzzing. Other than making sure all connections are clean & tight, about all you can do is to replace the valve.

Trane xl 80

Thanks for your reply but the V reading was 25.4. 1 higher than other threads were indicating. Is this still within acceptable operating limits?

Most transformers I see read 25 to 28V. You rarely see them at 24V.
