    Question Skuttle Humidifier to Goodman Furnace

    I have a Goodman AEPF 4260 Furnace/Heat Pump and a Skuttle Humidifier. Wiring diagram says wires to R and humidistat but whenever I plug it in there's no voltage? :wall:Unhooked I have 24V. There's a jumper that had to be cut and I did that but nothing. Also hooked wire to another terminal and got power but I am afraid to leave it there as it might do damage to board. Thanks for any help.

    Ok, one wire on R and where's the other one gong to?

    What was the other letter you hooked up to and got power?

    The other terminal is marked humidstat, (supposed to be correct wire). The terminal that gave me power was O.

    Disconnect and stay away from the O wire. This is your cool active reversing valve. Wire up, from HVAC, terminals R and HUM to the humidifier and then to Humidistat.

    yes, those are the 2 I used but no power. I scanned the wiring diagram if I can figure out how to post it, if not can I email to you?

    I am unable to find a diagram for you unit.

    If you know for sure HUM is 24 volts, then other wire goes to C./Com on the board.

    That is if your HUM is 24 volts. If it is 24volts, then yes.

    That works! You're the man Jay! the com terminal is the condensor? I measure 24volts either way, does it matter if one is to R and one to com or HUM and com?

    C is common side of the system. And yes, you will have a wire from the A/C. Y from A/C is the "hot" side on call of cool.

    does it matter if one is to R and one to com or HUM and com?
    R is always hot, that's your power.. HUM powers up when there is call for heat.
