1979 OMC 4cyl GM motor120 hp starts but wont stay running

fuel pump is giving gas but wouldn't start so pored fuel in carburetor and starts but wont stay running..also spark plugs had oil on them was told that it flooded but not sure.

I had two 140's in a boat. Still have some good used stuff for that engine.

Any gas engine that will start but wont stay running is running out of gas.

So the problem is likely to be in the Carb. Its probably the Needle valve stuck in the seat, or a big chunk of 'stuff' is blocking the main jet.
If I rememember correctly, you can take the top off the carb to fix that.
