Open Floor Plan Painting Help
I've got an open floor plan and am wanting to repaint, but I do not know how to go about doing it. I would like to have 2 colors (ex. 1 red wall and the rest a brownish color). The colors I was thinking were brown and red. Walking in from my front door, the living room is to the left. Straight ahead is the dining area with the kitchen to the left of that. There is a wall inbetween the living room and kitchen. Please see the links below for pictures and video.
Thank you in advanced for your help!

Welcome to the forums!
I'm not sure I understand what you are asking

Once you figure out which wall will be the accent color you should be ready to go. Assuming you will tape off the baseboard, remember you need to be careful with the brush work. Paint is notorious for seeping under the tape
so the less paint you get on the tape the better. It also pays to remove the tape while the paint is still tacky. That allows you be able to remove any paint that might have gotten on the base and will prevent any paint bond with the wall and tape from being an issue.

My main issue is picking colors. I'm not 100% sure brown/red is the way to go with brown couch and floors in dining/kitchen area. Also not sure which wall would be best for accent wall.
Thanks!

Every color has a multitude of shades. Try and pick a color that you think you'll like for the main walls and then see how it compliments [or not] the red you intend to use. I wouldn't go too dark with the brown. For the accent wall, I'd lean toward one of the 2 main living rm walls, probably the one behind the TV and curio cabinet.
Some paint stores have software that allows them to take your pic and change it any color they stock. The software might also be available online but I don't know too much about it.retired painter/contractor
