99 Plymouth Breeze
Does anyone know what weight of motor oil needs to be used in this car with the 2.4L engine in the mid-south?
Thanks.

Likely 10w-30; if it's using oil you could go up a notch to 10w-40. Either one would be safe to use.
Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.

If I remember correctly, the 1999 merc my wife used to have spec'd 5w30 but I agree with TG - 10w30 would be better for an engine with some miles on it. Isn't there a sticker under the hood that states what oil to use?

Thanks guys, that was kinda what I was thinking. There may be a sticker but I haven't seen the car in daylight to be able to tell.

Might also be noted on the oil filler cap.
Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.
