problem with IMRC on 98 ford windstar
MY service light has been on for quite a while. The engine codes are 1537-38.
Ive been wandering what using seafoam would help loosen up the engine or do more danage than good.Im not sure my imrcs are working but i have checked my vacuum lines and cant find much wrong there.Any opinions on sea foam product?

they are known for a little plastic clip that holds the external linkage, for the IMRC throttle plates, on, to break.
& you have to pull the intake manifold, to get to it.

Bad IMRC
Are you saying that the intake manifold has to be taken out to install the little plastic clips?

imrc runner control
I have allready purchased the little clips and tried to install them but i broke several of them just trying to install them. Those clips need to be made out of metal or something else more durable. Thanks for your input.

ford windstar imrc
I finally wised up and put a little drop of roofing tar on the end of my finger and was able to put the clip in with no tool and one hand. Thanksl Something else pretty sticky would also work.
