Homax oil-based texture

Can I use Homax oil-based texture over a kilz water based primer and then can I use a water based paint over the oil based texture?

Any particular reason you are using an oil base texture? It's probably been 30+ yrs since I've used oil base texture, didn't realize it was still around. There shouldn't be any issue applying latex primer/paint over the texture but you do need to make sure the texture has fully dried!

Thanks for the info. We are using a can of Homax spray texture that we've had for about a year. They make an oil based and a water based. I can't remember why we bought the oil based but we thought we'd try to use it up on our current project.
