    Cool shower faucet pull

    I'm in the midst of installing a new handheld showerhead, and have put in on now. When i turn on the water, and pull the diverter? up, no water comes out of the showerhead, only the faucet. ???Is this just a coincedence, or is something just broken?

    This sounds like some kind of diverter issue, but I need more information about your faucet and spray set-up or maybe some pictures. Thanks

    Its just an old generic tub faucet, with the knob on top to pull for shower. No name that I can see. I'm trying to twist it off, but I think I need someone to help who's stronger. I assume that taking it off is necessary to repair/replace?

    Also, want to mention that the diverter is loose and almost coming out of the faucet.
