Questions about selling & buying..
1. Im trying to sell out home cause another home, which is empty, is for sale and we want to buy it but wont make an offer until ours sells. If this comes to fruition, how much lead time should I build in around the closing date (to sell ours) compared to the closing date of the new home to ensure I have enough time to relocate all of my personal items?
2. Today, we had a couple that told the realtor they liked our house and wanted to bring their parents to see it. This has been arranged, but IM curious if there are any stats out there that indicate the chances of selling a home to those who bring their parents...any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, the offer/contract can be written contingent on selling your current house that has an offer (if they make one). That turns some buyers off since they don't want to be in limbo....but it depends on the market.

#1 - There are probably too many 'ifs' and people with different agendas to get any kind of accurate answer. You'd want a contingency plan in case you need to store your belongings for a short time.
#2 - It's not unheard of for young couples to get their parents involved, there is a good chance the parents might be the ones with down payment.retired painter/contractor
