How can I fix chips on wall
I want to do some painting soon. On the corners of the walls where two pieces of dry wal meet there are come spots where the plaster has chipped. I will obviously use plaster to fix it but is there some special v shaped tool that can help ?

If the walls are drywalll why would you be using plaster?
Post a picture so we can see what your seeing.
Most often EZ sand drywall compound is used.
It needs to be applied with a wide putty knife, allowed to dry, sanded smooth with a sanding sponge, dusted off then primed before painting.

Minor repairs can be made with spackling, larger repairs require joint compound. The patching procedure is the same for plaster or drywall. Is there any texture on the walls that would need to be matched so the repairs don't stick out?

The question doesn't make a lot of sense to me based on the description and my experience with drywall. I would like to see pictures before advising anything.

Ah, that makes sense - I was just thinking of chips and cracks along the flat part of a wall.

Hmm, I'm reading that's it's the inside where 2 walls meet, being they're asking about a V shaped tool.?

While they make a corner tool for inside corners I'm thinking the op was thinking to use it in reverse on the outside corner. Kind of odd for an inside corner to get that type of damage. Guess we'll have to wait for a response to know for sure.

I'd likely just smear a little joint compound over just the chip and then touch up the paint when dry. Mainly you just want a little mud to soften the edges of the chip. Alternatively you could apply the j/c with a putty knife, sand when dry, texture as needed and paint.
