termite mix calculatation

What is the mix ratio and amount i will need to do a trench that is 200 feet long with the Taurus treatment .Its as preventative treatment with no high infestation.
Also does trench have to be 6 inch by 6inch?
Any info is appreciated.

6x6 tench is fine; can even be less as long as it contains the termiticide in the trench. If it doesn’t contain termiticide well, then slow down the flow rate.

1) Is there a basement or crawl space or simply a slab where you are treating?
Termiticide application rates are 4 gal per 10 linear feet of trench times
foot of depth to footer. That’s the maximum to use and that is a lot. If the
soil accepts termiticide easily than use half of that, more or less. Has to
be the operators call to make while treating.

2) Take a length of re-bar or similarly pointed tool and hammer holes in the
trench to take the termiticide down quicker and for more dispersion.
About every foot or foot and a half.

3) Take time and read the label pertaining to post-contruction termite
treatment.
The label can be found on various internet sites as well.

4) The active ingredient in Taurus is fipronil and is an excellent choice.
Same ingredient is in Termidor as well.

Hope this helps.

The crawl space soil should be treated generally, at least the exposed soil.

Do you have a label? It will be a multi-page label that comes with the bottle or can be found on-line to be read/printed. You have to have the label and understand the post-contruction segment of the label.

Typically Termidor/Taurus/ and others with Fipronil as active ingredient are mixed at 1 oz/gal of water for termites. Read and learn the formulas for mixing and then for applying the finished product. It’s not safe or accurate for me to determine the amount of finished product you need as I am not on-site. Once you know how much finished product you need then you can buy the size bottle that you need.

The info you need is on the label directions especially in the post-construction termite treatment segment.

I’d say a minimum of 6”, more if it’s easy. Just got back from vacation; I was out of touch.
