DoItYourself.com welcomes freelance authors' submissions! Following are general guidelines and contact information to help you get started.

• Only unique content that is not published elsewhere can be considered.
• Only content to which you have rights can be considered.
• Content must be submitted in electronic format: MS Word or .TXT documents, preferably. Content should be edited, proofed and ready for publishing.
  
• Content should have editorial value: advertorial content is discouraged and generally dismissed.
• Articles are primarily of a 'how-to' nature and are typically between 600-800 words. More involved 'how-tos' can also be considered. The reading audience includes consumers and home improvement professionals.
• Articles can contain a one-sentence byline, which can contain one external link.
