5 Tips for Mounting Wall Speakers in Your TV Room

Television rooms equipped with wall speakers provide an elegant and sense-surround feel, as if you are inside a cinema. Wall mount speakers include the benefit of not taking the actual space inside the TV room. When you are installing or arranging a home theater in your entertainment area, these wall speakers can produce that fascinating theater surround sound. You can also camouflage or design your speakers to conceal them inside the room.

Since you have to drill holes within the walls to attach these speakers, installing these wall speakers is actually not an effortless task. You have to ensure that the wall is empty, and that there is nothing within the wall like the support beams. You also need to figure out the process of installing the wires for the wall speaker, particularly if the audio source is coming from another room.

Prepare the Tools and Materials Needed

Before mounting or installing any of the speakers on the wall, you have to prepare the materials and tools first so that you aren't interrupted while you are doing the mounting process. Set the power drill, key saw, bits, measuring and marking tools, as well as the wall speakers and wires, in a close and convenient location.

Searching for the Right Location

Select the right location for the speakers within the wall.  You need to observe the location of wall hoops, which support the boards inside the wall that are placed, by tapping along the walls and then listening for a monotonous reverberation sound.

Drilling and Making Holes

Drill a hole inside the wall, in which you know that there is no stud, and then insert a wire inside the hole to sense around the locations of the studs.

Sketch the outline of the speaker on the wall using a visible marker, chalk, or pencil making use of the speaker ends as a guide. Mounting the Speakers

Finishing Touches

Attach the wires with the speaker and then mount the speaker to its hole. Oftentimes, the wires are screwed in place along the terminals at the back of the speaker then the speaker should be screwed or bolted into the wall. Make sure that the speakers are working before cleaning up.
