Want to make more money in your current job? Tired of what you've been doing and want to pursue a different career track altogether? If so, what's holding you back? For most people it's time -- specifically the lack of it. Between work and family, we all lead such busy lives these days that the idea of taking a couple of years off to earn a degree seems impossible; but what if you could learn all you needed to excel at a career in just a couple of months?
Realizing the need for an alternative to the long, drawn out four year degree, United Education Institute (UEI), a school with seven campuses in California and affiliate campuses in Florida and Georgia, offers certification programs that can be earned in as little as eight or nine months. The areas of study offered at several campuses are business administration, computer systems, massage therapy, medical billing and insurance coding, dental assistant, medical assistant and pharmacy technician.
Jael Molina, who currently works as a personal assistant for a flooring company, is about halfway through the certification program in medical billing and insurance coding. "A career in the medical field is something I've wanted to pursue for a long time, but with a job and a 4-year-old, I didn't think I'd be able to handle going back to school. UEI has made it very easy for me. They have morning, afternoon and evening classes. At first I tried attending evening classes which didn't work for me, so I decided to come in the morning instead and they accommodated that for me perfectly."
Flexibility is just one of the many benefits UEI students enjoy. They also have the assurance that the courses they are taking will provide them with the skills they'll need to succeed in the career area of their choice. All course material is designed with input from professionals in the field. And once they complete their programs, all students are offered access to career service professionals who can help pair them with companies in need of workers.
