How to Help Your Kid Get a Better Report Card The school year is beginning and if you're already dreading your child's first report card, it's time to take action. Helping your child do better in school may be as simple as increasing the amount of Omega-3 he or she gets on a daily basis.

Children given Omega-3 supplements for just five months dramatically improved in behavior, concentration and reading ability, a study by the United Kingdom's Durham Education Authority reveals. Among the study's most eye-opening results:

* At the beginning of the study, 47 percent of parents graded their children's behavior as "poor" or "very poor." At the end of five months of supplementation, 91 percent of those children who had poor behavior had improved to "moderate" or "good."

* Parents reported that prior to beginning supplementation 66 percent of children had poor or very poor concentration. Post-trial, 79 percent had good or very good levels of concentration.

"99 percent of American children do not get enough Omega-3 in their diets," says Roy Bingham, co-founder of NourishLife, makers of ultra-pure Omega-3 supplements. "When your grandmother told you fish was 'brain food,' she might not have known the science behind it, but she was right. We now know definitively that the Omega-3 found in fish really does enhance learning and behavior."

While many parents may be aware of the benefits of the Omega-3s DHA and EPA in infant brain development, both nutrients also play a role in learning and brain development for school-aged children.  Conversely, science is now starting to understand the link between omega-3 deficiency and learning and behavioral disorders.

"It is a competitive world, and I want my boys to have every advantage," Bingham says. "Like every parent I want them to be healthy and happy, and ultimately successful in whatever they choose to pursue. ADHD runs in our family and for this and many other reasons, we give them 1.5 grams of PharmaOmega Learn every day."

Parents today face significant challenges in keeping their children properly nourished.  Purified supplements designed specifically for children, like PharmaOmega Learn, can be the perfect supplement to existing eating habits.  Remember:

* Nutrition is directly linked to physical health and mental performance for children. Studies have shown that children with poor nutritional habits do not do as well in school as their better-nourished peers.

* Modern dietary habits, including consumption of fast foods and prepared foods, can make it difficult for a child to obtain his or her recommended dietary allowance of key nutrients like Omega-3. Further, cooking can strip nutrients out of even the most healthful foods.

* While there are benefits of diets low in fats, not all fats are "bad" fats. Certainly parents should avoid saturated and trans fats, but children, require a certain amount of "good fats" - like Omega-3 DHA and EPA - for proper brain development.

* Supplementation is an effective alternative.  "Omega-3 is so critical to every child's health.  That is why we have gone as far as to offer free samples of our products.  We cannot stress enough to parents that they should do whatever they can to up their children's omega-3 intake," urges Bingham.

Omega-3 can enhance behavior and learning potential - better attention, better focus, better reading, better spelling.  For a limited time, you can receive two weeks free supply of Pharmaomega Learn and free shipping when you visit www.PharmaOmega.com and purchase a two-week supply.
