Werner's Easy Access Attic Ladder 9 - Set Ladder Height

SETTING THE LADDER HEIGHT

Step 1. Remove the telescoping feet by cutting the plastic tie attaching them to the step.

For 8 ft. ladder: A plastic insert has been provided to be placed in the open end of the telescoping tube. This insert is not required for ceiling heights of 7' 9 1/2" to 8'.
For ceiling heights 7' 9 1/2" to 8' 4", proceed to Step 4.
For ceiling heights 7' 3" to 7' 9 1/2", proceed to Step 2.

For 10 ft. ladder: A plastic insert has been provided to be placed in the open end of the telescoping tube. This insert is not required for ceiling heights of 8'8" to 9' and 9'7" to 9'10" (See Figure 33).
For ceiling heights 9' 7" to 10' 4" proceed to Step 4.
For ceiling heights 8' 8" to 9' 7" proceed to Step 2.
For ceiling heights 8' 4" to 8' 8" proceed to Step 3.

Step 2. Remove the last section at the bottom of the ladder by removing the 4 screws that hold it in place (See Figure 34). Proceed to Step 4.

Step 3. Remove the bottom two sections at the bottom of the ladder by removing the 4 screws that hold it in place (See Figure 34). Proceed to Step 4.




Step 4. Cut the plastic tie that holds the ladder section closed and discard.

Step 5. Open the ladder until you hear the locks engage.

Step 6. Insert telescoping foot in bottom most section of ladder (See Figure 35).




Step 7. Adjust the foot inserts to the proper height and place screws in the nearest opening. Tighten (See Figure 36).











Attaching Steps

Step 1. Attach step link to outside of step with screws, placing plastic spacers between the step link and step (See Figure 37). Repeat on opposite side and for all steps in the bottom sections.
