- A string with a weight attached to the end
You can purchase books or find resources online that will teach you the proper way to construct the framing when building walls. Once the frame is built you will need to install insulation and hang drywall. Other finishing materials besides drywall are also available for building walls, but drywall is the most common and one of the simplest.
