Camp Chairs

by DoItYourself Staff

Camp chairs are an age-old tradition in camping. Used to sit around the fire, camp chairs keep you off the cold, wet ground and save your back some pain, too. Camp chairs of old were plastic or canvas over aluminum, and sometimes didn’t offer much more comfort than the ground below them. But that was then.

You can find camp chairs as basic or as complex as you want them to be. Camp chairs are still offered in canvas, although now they give you more back support. You can also find camp chairs with cup holders, neck support, and even a foot rest!

They even make little camp chairs for your children, sometimes even in your children’s favorite cartoon character and color. Depending on what you’re looking for, you can spend anywhere between $7 and $50 on a camp chair. When purchasing a camp chair, consider how and how often you will use it. This will help you determine what features, if any, you’d like to have in a camp chair.
