Can I Clean Vinyl Siding With a Pressure Washer?

by DoItYourself Staff

When you clean vinyl siding, you can use a pressure washer on a medium setting. Vinyl siding is made to repel water coming from above and not straight on it. If you spray straight at the siding, you may get moisture under the vinyl siding which will cause water damage below the siding and perhaps into the walls of your house. This is also the reason not to use the high setting on the power washer, which will force water into the joints. Always spray the power washer at an angle when cleaning the siding.
