Can I install ceiling recessed lights on a sloped ceiling?

Ceiling recessed lights are valued  by some homeowners where ambiance of low, indirect, or diffused lighting is desired in a specific room or area of the home. Installing this lighting in a room with a sloped ceiling, however can be a challenge.

To install this lighting in a sloped ceiling it usually is necessary to use special, angled light fixtures installed within the ceiling. The exception is where ceiling space is not sufficient to accommodate these fixtures. Those that can be installed in the ceiling must be IC rated to be installed near insulation. Typically, these angled fixtures are best installed by professionals.
