Can I spray paint my melamine cabinets?

Melamine cabinets can be painted using spray print. There are spray paints designed specifically for plastic furniture, and this type of spray paint will also work on melamine cabinets. Treat the melamine cabinet the same way as you would when painting it with non-spray paint. The way in which you treat melamine, is to make the surface clean and rough, so that the paint is able to grip onto the surface, this can be achieved with detergent and TSP for cleaning, varying finenesses of sandpaper, to make the surface rougher, and a layer of primer right before applying the spray paint.
