Can you have more than one electric sub panel connected to a single electrical panel?

It is possible for more than one electric sub panel to be connected to a single electrical main panel. A sub panel is a smaller extension of the main power source to make it work elsewhere, such as in a garage or workshop located further away. Most buildings get all their electric power from one single electrical main panel that all of the sub panels connect to. There could be several sub panels for each external source and each one has a panel that controls it.
