Canning Meat

Canning meat, or any type of food, is an efficient way of storing freshness and taste. If you can boil water and tell time, canning meat will be no problem for you!
Canning meat is an easy and convenient process to know how to do, especially if you purchase more then you eat. You will have fresh canned meat for home cooked meals that everyone will enjoy.

Steps to Canning Meat

Step 1: pick out the fresh meat and have it ready
Step 2: make sure you have several sterilized glass jars (quart or pint will do)
Step 3: Fill the clean sterilized jars with the meat. Make sure there are no air pockets and remember to pack the jars tight.
Step 4: Put the warm, dried lids on the jars, and tighten up the rims.
Step 5: Place jars in a pot of boiling water for about 90 minutes, and remove them once the process is done.

This simple process of canning meat will keep your meat fresh for years, and in the end it saves you a pretty penny!
