Cat Training Collar vs a Cat Training Harness
The benefits of a cat training collar or harness will prove invaluable to any cat owner. Though wonderfully loyal and obedient, there are times when you will want to walk your cat without worry. This guide highlights the benefits of each item.
Collar or harness?
Even though both items are very similar, buy one of each and return the item that the cat disapproves of most.
Collars
As you may predict, there are many cats that do not like to wear collars. Collars are the tighter of the two yet will provide the owner with greater ease of care once they have trained their cat to wear it. With an adjustable strap, you can ensure that whilst tight, it does not hinder air flow for the cat. A leash can then be attached to a metal hoop hanging from the collar.
Harnesses
Even though harnesses lack the neck grip that a collar provides, they allow for just as much control of your cat. Many cat owners use a harness as a way to train cats that do not like collars. If you are aware that your cat does not like collars, then a harness should be used first to make the transition easier for your pet.
