Caulking

Caulking, in general, is adhesive filler that is water proof. It does not chip, fade, crack, or pop out of the seams. The actual material is placed in the cracks and fits the contour of the space being provided.

When is Caulking Used?

Caulking is used in many scenarios. It is one of those materials that can be used over and over and on a variety of different projects. Some common projects caulking can be used for is around a bathtub. As stated before, this filler is water proof. When you caulk around a tub, you are ensuring that it will not leak. If it does, apply some more caulking.
Another common use for caulking is around doors. Doors are another area where weathering can occur. When placing caulking around a door, not only are you sealing the inside of the building away from weathering, you are also keeping bugs and insects out. This is commonly known as sealing your door.
