The first step in purchasing a garage floor cleaner is to identify the type of floor you have. You may choose to make your own industrial strength cleaner. This is done by combining a half gallon of cool water, a cup of grease-cutting household cleaner and a cup of ammonia. Be sure to protect your hands while mixing. In addition, do not use ammonia in a poorly ventilated area.
