Cleaning Dishwashers
Cleaning dishwashers are standard household appliances used to remove food debris from dishes and cookware. Clean dishwashers are also used to disinfect items before they are used to serve food again. They perform their task by using power jets to wash and rinse dishes. Cleaning dishwashers also operate at high temperatures for disinfecting purposes.
Styles of Cleaning Dishwashers
The types of cleaning dishwashers available vary based on their structural designs. The two most common are freestanding, portable dishwashers and built-in models that are meant to sit under a kitchen counter.
Freestanding cleaning dishwashers are typically small models that work by being hooked up to a sink. These models generally have casters and can be rolled in and out of a kitchen when needed.
Built-in clean dishwashers are the most common seen in homes and apartments. These models tend to have a larger capacity and are plumbed into a home’s water and sewer systems.
Features of Cleaning Dishwashers
Portable dishwashers tend to offer very few feature choices. Built-in models, however, can vary greatly in the selection. Some of the more common features offered in clean dishwashers include:
- Control selection, which can range from fully electronic to manual dials;
- Cycle selection, which can include options such as delicate, heavy-duty for pots and pans and a fast disinfecting cycle;
- Shelving configuration, which can vary based on capacity and style of the machine.
