Community students often get involved together to do a fundraising project for school or a school related cause. The reason that this is usually successful is because many of the community students know each other and the parents know many of the other community students. When preparing to do a fundraising event there are a few basic steps that can help you get started.

• Choose and research a cause – In most cases, for community students, a cause is chosen by their school. However, it’s still important for them to research the cause so they know why they are helping who they are helping.
• Decide the best course of action – In most cases schools will choose how to do the fundraiser as well. Usually there’s a group of students and teachers who collaborate on the best way to raise funds for the school or cause.
• Purpose – Make sure the purpose for raising the funds is completely clear. In some cases it’s just for the school, in other cases the school will donate some to a charity as well.

Why Community Students Should Get Involved in Fundraisers

There are many reasons that community students should get involved in fundraisers. In some cases they help pay for field trips and other necessary school events like dances. In other cases, students are rewarded by the school for doing fundraisers to help a cause.
