Controlling Air Purifier Filter Scents

There are products for your air purifier filter that can help turn your air purifier into an air freshener. Controlling your air purifier filter scent is not a complicated process. Simply purchase a filter freshener product and place it on your air purifier’s filter. You can use a variety of scents to obtain the desired smell that you want in your home. You can choose from spring breeze to hardwood cherry, depending on the manufacturer of the freshener scent.

Step 1: Turn Off Air Purifier

Locate the on/off switch for your air purifier and turn the unit off. This will allow you to remove the access panel where the air filter is located. This work should be done when the air purifier unit is in the off position. Use a screwdriver if necessary to remove the access panel from the air purifier.

Step 2: Remove the Air Filter

Locate the air purifier filter behind the panel that you removed. Remove the air filter.

Step 3: Open the Air Freshener Filter Package

Remove the air freshener filter from its packaging. Check the instructions to see if there are any additional steps that need to be taken when removing the air freshener filter from the packaging.

Step 4: Place the Air Freshener Filter in the Air Purifier

Following the instructions for the air freshener filter, install it into the air purifier unit. Place it properly into the unit as instructed before placing the air filter back into the air purifier.

Step 5: Place the Air Filter into the Air Purifier

Place the air filter back into the air purifier and secure the access panel. Make sure the access panel is attached securely to the air purifier before attempting to operate the unit.

Step 6: Turn the Air Purifier On

Turn the air purifier on by placing the on/off switch into the “on” position. Wait a few minutes and the smell from the air purifier should match the scent that is in the air freshener filter. Change the speed or output setting on the air purifier to control the flow of air and the scent that is now coming out of the air purifier.

Be sure to change the air freshener filter as frequently as required in order to produce the desired scent that you are looking for.
