Counter Depth Refrigerator
Old school stand up refrigerators are one of the first things people wish to replace when remodeling a kitchen. A counter depth refrigerator is much more attractive and only cost a fraction of the price of built-in models. If you love the look of built-in refrigerators, but don’t love the price tag, a counter depth refrigerator is the perfect option.
All About a Counter Depth Refrigerator
A counter depth refrigerator looks very similar to a built-in refrigerator but does not cost near as much. A built-in refrigerator will sit almost flush with standard cabinets, and a counter depth refrigerator sticks out just a bit; usually just the door is not flush. A counter depth refrigerator is not as deep as the standard freestanding models, but this is often made up in a counter refrigerator being wider. Even at the same width, a counter depth refrigerator may have just as much cold storage if designed properly.
Counter depth refrigerators come with the same set up as a traditional standalone models. You can choose a bottom freezer, side by side, French door, or even the old standard single door models for a counter depth refrigerator. You can also buy them in a variety of finishes from white, to almond, to black, and even stainless steel.
