Create Duct Tape Art: 3 Project Ideas

by DoItYourself Staff

Express your creativity using duct tape art. Below are some exciting projects.

1. Duct Tape Rose

Cut out several pieces of red duct tape, each about 2 inches long. Fold each piece into a petal form leaving open the sticky side at the bottom. Then roll the bottom tightly to make the petal stem and bind the petals together. Now take a piece of floral wire and wrap it with green tape leaving a bit at the end uncovered. Insert the uncovered part of the wire into the rose. Tightly secure the bottom of the rose with the stem with a piece of green tape.

2. Duct Tape Bracelet

Pick duct tape pieces of your favorite colors long enough to go around your wrist the required. Cut each piece into smaller strips. Fold strips lengthwise and curve them for extra style. Then lay another tape piece, sticky side up, and place the folded strips on it side by side. Secure the strips with the edge of the ‘sticky side up’ piece and finally tape the two ends into a bracelet.

3. Duct Tape Tie

Take the shorter tin foil piece and fold the tip into a pointed tie shape. The other edges should be turned backward. Wrap the foil with duct tape at an angle, building in stripes if desired.

Take the longer tin foil and fold it lengthwise to the desired width. Wrap the foil with a long strip of duct tape. Form a tie-knot at the center of the strip and attach it to the tie.
