Using Wallcoverings to Create Picture Border

Using Wallcoverings to Create Picture Border

You can use wallcoverings to create panels and borders to highlight pictures and mirrors. To create a border like in the picture, follow these simple steps:

1. Treat the picture, mirror, or object that you are framing as you would a wallpaper panel and plan to hang your border around the object accordingly.

2. Apply border strips around the object in a clockwise direction. Align the outer edge of the border with the object you are framing and allow the ends of the border to extend slightly past the object.

3. Miter the corners.

4. Roll outer edges of border and seams after 1/2 hour.

5. To give the border a finished look, add companion corner pieces by cutting out part of the design of the border and applying over the seams.

Enjoy your newly framed picture!
