There are perhaps a dozen reasons why your dryer may not be drying your clothes, however no matter what the reason it will likely call for a little clothes dryer repair of some sort.
The Vent
First things first, check the vent. Check the lint filter. If any of these is plugged or filled not only will it not dry your clothes but will also pose a fire hazard. Check the hose, make sure there are no kinks and no visible blockages.
If you can’t tell if there are any blockages but want to err on the safe side, use a vacuum with a hose to clean it out to be sure that it is cleared before running your dryer again for long periods of time.
Other Possible Issues
Other issues to look into that may require further clothes dryer repair are to check the blower fan. You can check this by removing the blower fan cover and running the dryer briefly to be sure it’s working properly.
If these solutions don’t fix your clothes dryer, it may be worth your while to call a repairman so as not to get into the nuts and bolts of your dryer and cause further damage.
