Egg-stra Special Centerpiece
Create a stunningly simple and whimsical table centerpiece with this easy craft project. You will need a shallow, white display bowl, floral moss, six wooden eggs, acrylic paint in pastel colors, glaze, ribbon scraps, glue and glitter. Begin by painting all six eggs and letting them dry completely. Once dry, decorate them with leftover ribbon scraps or colorful glitter. Think Spring and Easter when decorating them. Once the eggs are completed, place them on a bed of floral moss in a shallow bowl. When displayed in the center of the table, the eggs will create a fun and cheerful centerpiece that cost less than most store-bought varieties.
Some-bunny Needs a Pillow
Bringing holiday decorations into a room's decor can be challenging. Finding pieces that match existing furniture and accessories can be a lot easier when you are willing to make the decorations yourself. For this delightfully easy pillow craft you will need the following items: a square pillow form, white fur fabric, white thread, pink felt, two black buttons, and scissors.
Start by measuring out enough fabric to completely cover the pillow form, as well as, an extra 12-inches for ears. Make an ear template, trace it on the back side of the fur fabric four times and cut it out. Sew two ear pieces together, right sides facing each other, and turn the finished ear right side out. Repeat this process for the second ear. Cut out two squares of fur to cover the pillow form. Pin the good sides of the fur together with the bunny ears placed between the fur and with the ends pinned on the inside top corners. Using a sewing machine, sew around the square, leaving a spot for the pillow to be turned right side out and the pillow form to be placed inside.
Once the fur has been sewn together, turn it right side out and stuff the pillow inside. The bunny ears should now be on the outside and securely sewn to the pillow at two of the corners. Hand stitch the opening closed. Sew on the black buttons for eyes and cut out and sew on the inner ear pieces and a nose from the pink felt. Your new bunny pillow will be ready to go and will look perfect perched on an armchair or sofa.
No-Sew Easter Table Runner
This perfectly simple table runner requires scissors, pins, no-sew fabric glue, and a length of 6"-wide Easter or spring theme fabric to run the length of your dining room table. Start by folding the raw edges of the fabric in two 1/4" turns toward the back side and pinning the edges down. Using the fabric glue, glue the folded edge down to the piece of fabric. Press the edges down tightly for a strong bond. When the glue has dried completely, turn the fabric over and place it on the table for an instant and attractive Easter table runner.
