Does a concrete or paver pool deck need more maintenance?

A paver pool deck generally requires more maintenance than a concrete deck. Pavers have spaces in between each piece. This can lead to weeds growing up through the pavers, which means that you will have to pull them or continually spray the area with an herbicide. A paver deck can also be difficult to clean because it involves so many small pieces. With a concrete pool deck, you can simply use a power sprayer to wash the whole deck very quickly. You can not spray pavers with a power sprayer because it could uproot the sand between them.
