Ever notice how drilling into a plaster wall or ceiling always leaves a dusty mess on the floor, or in your eyes.
Try this next time you drill.
For walls
- Tape a small, open paper bag under the spot you're drilling to catch all the dust
- Place some tape over the spot itself to avoid damaging the wall
For Ceilings
- First drill through the middle of a plastic coffee can lid
- Leave the lid on the bit and use it to catch the falling dust
- Of course, always wear safety glasses when drilling a hole above eye level just in case a speck goes flying
