Dryer Door Switch Repair In 3 Steps

A dryer door switch is not going to be a hard item to have to replace. You merely need to know what to do in advance before you actually get started. Once you understand you can repair your switch in less than ten minutes!

1. Turn off the Power
Before you begin working on the actual switch it is imperative that you unplug your dryer. The plug should be located in the wall, so give it a tug and then you can begin.

2. Take off the Old Switch
From there, you will want to take off the old switch that is causing issues. You can either simply pop out the switch or you may even have to screw it out depending on the dryer that you own.

3. Label Wires and Replace

When you take that old switch out, make sure that you label your wires. This will make it a lot easier when you are ready to install your new switch. Take the new switch; hook it up and pop it back in. Plug the dryer back in and test out your switch. Replacing your dryer switch is not a difficult task, in fact it takes minutes!
