Electric Power Tools
Fixing a stuck window is a lot easier with electric power tools. Usually, a window will become stuck because of built up paint or dirt. By using electric power tools you can remove the build up and open your window again. To fix a window you will need:
- 1 Knife
- 1 Old Candle
- A Hand Sander
Using Electric Power Tools to Fix a Stuck Window
- Step 1: Unlock the window and remove any nails or wedges that prevent it from opening.
- Step 2: Wedge the knife in between the window frame and molding and work your way around the window on both sides until you can open the window. The window is too fragile to use any electric power tools on it right away, because the glass might break.
- Step 3: Use a hand held sander to sand away all of the built up paint around the window until the window can move freely. There are other electric power tools that can be used instead, like a planer.
- Step 4: Paint over the sanded molding and let dry. After the paint is dry you can rub a candle over the area to help the window glide up and down.
